It’s official: Holiday season is in full swing. With Christmas only a few days away and New Year’s Eve coming up right behind it, it’s definitely a good time to think about your holiday party outfit.
It’s beginning to look a lot like…gift buying season! With the holidays just around the corner, it’s time to give serious thought to what to buy as presents for the loved ones on your list.
Fiiiiive golden…outfits! With winter officially starting on December 21 (yes, we know it’s unofficially begun already, but we like being official), it’s time to make sure you have your gorgeous winter wardrobe ready.
We had lovely, chill music, a table of snacks, and a roomful of women trying on the latest clothing from BloomChic’s upcoming size expansion. The best, and most important, part was listening to these women give their thoughts on the clothes. BloomChic’s resident designer, Hilda, took measurements, made notes, asked all the relevant questions, and ensured the women felt at ease.
It was a half day event that gave us so much valuable information and feedback as the whole team works diligently to expand all the way up to a size 30 by January 2022. Some key takeaways included feedback about shoulder placements being too wide and a desire for dresses with more room between the bust and waist.
The event was all about community, first and foremost. It was invaluable to meet our customers in real life, listen to them, and take all of their feedback into consideration. They are the ones we are doing this for and their voices matter above all.
The plus size community has fought for years to carve a space for itself in the fashion world. They deserve as many options for clothing as straight size people have enjoyed for decades. And they don’t need to justify that in any way. Brands need to step up and give this community what it deserves — gorgeous, trendy clothing that fits right, looks good, and makes the wearer feel good.
At BloomChic, we’re so excited to be fulfilling this need and solving this problem. This first fit event was only the beginning and we plan on having many more in the future. The community comes first, always, and we will never forget that.

For mid-and plus-size women, this first and foremost means that she should be able to find clothes that fit her, and that allow her to feel stylish, beautiful, and self-expressed. Accessibility also encompasses price: we’ve chosen to make and sell items at an affordable price point. You shouldn’t have to pay a fortune to dress for your everyday life. Finally, we believe in ensuring ease of purchase, which is why we operate as an online-only store. With the exception of a select few partnerships, you can find the vast majority of our products exclusively on digital shelves — viewable worldwide, and shipping to more countries every day.
Too often these days, diversity is a buzzword and nothing more; we’re well aware of the pitfalls of openly stating that this is a value we hold dear. But what we can say is that as a plus-only brand, we knew from the get-go that diversity would be inherent to everything we do — it has to be, if we truly believe that women of all sizes should feel seen and served by fashion.
And we do. As much as we can, we invest in showing our products on real women, in real bodies within our 10-30 size range. We also recognize that diversity is about so much more than just size and skin tone: it’s sexuality, race, ethnicity, disability, culture, and more. As brands, when we say we care, we open ourselves up to being seen as performative and critiqued as disingenuous — that’s all to say, we may never quite get it exactly right. But that doesn’t mean we’ll stop trying. Our customers are diverse, and she deserves to see herself fully represented in our clothes.

HOW LONG DO I HAVE BEFORE MAKING A RETURN?
At BloomChic, customer’s satisfaction is always our top priority.
You have a max of 45 days from the date of receiving your item(s) to make returns.
You must send back and postmark your return packages within 45 days from the date of receiving your item(s). No returns made after 45 days from the date of receiving the item(s) will be accepted.
